Chandrabhaga, the ancient river is believed to have existed at a distance of about two km from the 13th century Sun Temple at Konark, Chenab river is popularly known as Chandra Bhaga. The Chenab river originates from Tandi in Lahul Spiti where two rivulets namely Chandra and Bhaga meet to form this river. It is the largest river of the state of Himachal Pradesh in terms of the density of water.
