He was 20 and single. He joined the Army in August 1998, first serving with the 1st Battalion Parachute Regiment before transferring to the Royal Military Police. He joined 156 Provost Company in January 2002 and served in Sierra Leone and Northern Ireland. L/Cpl Keys was a fully trained paratrooper and physical training instructor who played football for the company." BBC web site
