Soviet dissident and civil rights activist Pavel Litvinov in Prague, Czech Republic, on August 21, 2008. Pavel Litvinov was one of seven protesters to demonstrate in Red Square on August 25, 1968, against the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia. Pavel Litvinov visited Prague in connection with 40th anniversary of the end of Prague Spring communist reform movement in 1968 in former Czechoslovakia, which was stopped by the invasion of five Warsaw Pact armies from the Soviet Union, Bulgaria, Poland, Hungary and East Germany on August 21, 1968.
