London, UK. 5 March 2015. Gift Horse by Hans Haacke. The new commission for the Fourth Plinth, "Gift Horse" by German artist Hans Haacke, was unveiled earlier by the Mayor of London Boris Johnson in Trafalgar Square. Gift Horse is the tenth sculpture to be unveiled on the empty plinth in Trafalgar Square. The sculpture Gift Horse is derived from an engraving "The Anatomy of the Horse" of 1766 by George Stubbs and features a live FTSE 100 ticker from the London Stock Exchange.
