Jackson, an 18-year Army veteran, is a long-haul trucker when not activated with his unit. Jackson is indispensible to his unit as he not only serves as a driver, but also volunteers his free time to maintain PRT vehicles and ensure they are mission-capable each day. The mission of the Paktika PRT is to assist in the stabilization and security of Paktika province through governance, development and agriculture initiatives. Jackson is deployed from the B/1-178th Field Artillery Regiment, South Carolina Army National Guard, where he is a tank turret mechanic.
