Pres. and CEO of the Harlem Children's Zone, Geoffrey Canada, left, speaks at a press conference
Pres. and CEO of the Harlem Children's Zone, Geoffrey Canada, left, speaks at a press conference in Lucky's Restaurant in New York on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 about the courts knocking down his ban on larger than 16 ounce soda and other sugary beverage sales which would have taken effect today. The mayor initiated the ban because of the epidemic of obesity that threatens the nation but the court ruled the ban "arbitrary and capricious". Lucky's Restaurant was chosen for the site of the press conference because the owners are voluntarily going along with the ban. The city will appeal the judge's ruling. (© Richard B. Levine)
