The salmon and trout, with the cod-liver oil and furs, w^ent to St. Johns. Newfoundland. It is very sadtoday to see only a few houses and a store or two, a wharf and acouple of boats—all that is left at Turnavik. Knowing the coast so well and the inland waters, I could carry on,having smooth water and fine weather, all through the 24 hours.
