It has become almost indispensable for the table, and increasing quantities are eaten every year. The Golden SeIf=Blanching is grown more than all others combined as an early celery for fall or early winter use. It is easily blanched, and is a very fine celery. It is getting to be pretty well understood that imported seed will produce a better Self-Blanch- ing Celery than American-grown seed. I have taken particular pains to get French-grown seed, and I believe it is as good as can be found in the country.
