Turn the basket around in various positions, and show themthat in whatever position the basket is, the handles are always at the ends of thediameter. Try the same experiment with an oblong basket, connecting the centresof the handle on each edge of the basket. The stick or string will represent theshorter diameter of the oblong. Thus it will always be found that handles like those.
