A macro shot of a Morning Dove
I found this Morning Dove at the foot of my hedge and being stalked by local cats. The bird had fallen from its nest and after watching it from our conservatory for 6 hours, it became clear that the birds parents had abandoned the bird. Later that day we called the RSPCB for advise and told to leave the bird alone. By the following morning we can only assume one of the cats had taken the bird, only a few feathers were left.
