Displaying bright yellow banners with the message 'CHANGE THE POLITICS SAVE THE CLIMATE’ the Greenpeace demonstrators called on the UK Government to take effective measures to combat climate change, including stopping airport expansion, a refocus of taxes on pollution, fair financing to help pay for low carbon development in poorer countries, an increase in government and private investment in alternative energy and a switch towards renewable energy and an upgraded grid. The picture was taken shortly before the 31 protesters came down from the roof after spending 28 hours there.
