The S front of Peniel Calvinistic Methodist Chapel, Amlwch Port, Anglesey, Wales, UK, built 1898-1900 to a Classical/Italianate design by architect Richard Davies of Bangor. A square box plan with a hipped slate roof, pyramidal at the front. An entrance porch at each end projecting from a pavilion flanking a recessed & arcaded central wing with arched windows & Doric columns. The pavilions have lunette windows, entablature, pediments & tympanum. The porches have flanking pilasters, & pediments with tympanum infilled with spar stones. When this photo was taken in April 2008, the noticeboard described the chapel as Peniel Presbyterian Church.
