Saint Hermenegild (564-585). Visigothic prince and nobleman. Son of King Liuvigild and brother of Recaredo. His conversion to Catholicism caused a confrontation with his father and a military conflict. He was captured and had his throat slit. Death of Saint Hermenegild. Illustration by Vallejo.
