Built across the street from an all-girl’s school, the Ower Elementary School for boys, located in Qarya-i-Ur village, Pusht Koh District, Afghanistan, was officially opened ten days ago after the construction project negotiated by the Farah Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) was completed on Oct. 26, 2009, by the (Ali Ahmadzai Construction Agency Co.) owned by Ali Ahmadzai, Nov. 10, 2009. The project began over a year ago, Aug. 21, 2008. Now, the school hosts 380 students and 24 teachers six days a week from 8 to noon with Fridays off.
