Tigeress leaps over a small water body, INDIA. ACTION-PACKED images of a Bengal tigress failing to chase down a wild boar were captured in Maharashtra, India. The tigress camouflaged itself behind some bushes when she noticed a group of wild boars approach a secluded body of water at Maharashtra?s Tadoba Tiger Reserve. She stalked towards the group slowly and then burst into a powerful sprint, targeting one adult boar. But the adult boar proved to be a challenge, so the predator changed its course mid-chase and went after a nearby piglet. In the end, the piglet, too, managed to escape the hunt and ran away. These exciting images were captured by British photographer Talvinder Chohan during his trip to India. ?I felt that I had captured something special and rare,? he said. ?Wildlife photography is all about patience as you are on the animal?s terms. ?Tigers are very difficult to find and photograph in the wild due to the dense vegetation and their solitary and secretive nature, so witnessing and capturing a full chase sequence was like a once-in-a-lifetime ENDs
