Procrastination and post-ponement of action should be tolerated only in the matter ofstarting the fire in the boiler or furnace and every effort should bemade to put off that evil day as far as possible. Wood, gas andelectricity can be used to take the chill off and by burning woodin the boiler or furnace, several rooms can be kept comfortable fora considerable time after the usual date of starting to burn coal.
