ARABIAN GULF (Nov. 10, 2016) Petty Officer 1st Class Diedre McFarlane signs a checkout sheet in the career counselor office of the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) (Ike). McFarlane serves aboard Ike as a career counselor. Ike and its Carrier Strike Group are deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the 5th Fleet area of operations.
