A wooden fence post embedded in concrete that has failed by rotting at just above the concrete.
This post has been in situ for about 15 years on my allotment. Originally set in concrete, the post has rotted just above the concrete, the wood above and within is fine. The concrete makes it difficult to repair by inserting a wooden spur, as the concrete has to be cut out on one side. Possibly the concrete also impedes drainage, it might have been preferable to pack around with gravel. See also 2ADKXPX for detail of repair.
