David West, Apache 9-1 crew, 4-9 Cav, 2ABCT fire a high explosive (HE) round from their M1064A3 during the brigade's Mortar Training and Evaluation Program (MORTEP) at Curry Mortar Center, Fort Hood May 15. The MORTEP is a bi-annual certification program for a mortar troop on organic indirect fire systems.
