During the summer months it iscrowded with city people who come here to enjoy thebracing sea, breezes and the plunge in the surf or strollupon the beach. Had the site of Los Angeles been chosen with thespecial purpose of accommodating the pleasure seeker itcould not have been more conveniently located, situatedas it is about midway between the seacoast resorts on theone hand and the mountain resorts on the other, andnearly midway between San Diego and Santa is the great focusing point for the activities of theSouthwest, whichout in all direction;^this busy mart.
