We can not live on the glory of the past; ours it is to raise the wallsupon the foundations and leave to another generation the ornamentation of the souls are to be saved and when generous, honest souls are hurrying hither andthither in the shadow of death, following foolishly phantom lights, who will rest, whowill spare the sacrifice and sit with hands piously folded pronouncing the idle word,enough? We must labor valiantly,that those following the deceptive glare of false teaching may be brought within thevivifying influence of the Light of the World, and their gain will be our reward. For these various reasons, my dear brethren, we welcome you; the needv in moraland intellectual life we welcome, and Christ, who promised reward for the smallest actin His name, draws you nearer to His Sacred Heart and blesses and welcomes you.
