Seattle skyline through the portholes of the MV Kalakala - West Seattle, Seattle, King County, Washington, USA. The passenger ferry was a popular attraction in Puget Sound and was known as the world's first streamlined vessel for her unique art deco styling. The famous vessel was in service from 1926-1933 and 1935-1967. Although the MV Kalakala was listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it was scrapped on January 22, 2015 because of its fragile condition. Pieces of the hulk are now on display at Salty’s restaurant in West Seattle.
