He is the sire" of seventeen- cults and fillies in all, eight of which are three years old and the balance are yearlings. Six of his nine yearlings are^ntered In the Occide nt Stake to be trotted at the State Fair in 1889,FIVE of which are owned in uakland, viz.: one by Hon. Geo. E. Wbitnev. one hy Dr. E. BL Pardee, one by Mr. Ed. Newland, one by Mr. A. \V. Pulcif^r, and one by A. I. Greene, and the sixth by Mr. Frank Leighton at Lafayette. Of the eight three-rear-olds two are broken, four partially broken nnd the other two unbroken. Those which are broken show a great deal of Bpeed for their handling, and all. without a single exception, are of fine Bize, style and color, and show a fine way of going.
