Scarab Inscribed with the Throne Name of Amenhotep III ca. 1390–1353 New Kingdom This scarab was made by pressing faience paste into a pottery mold. Before the paste was dry, a stamp inscribed with the throne name of Amenhotep III (Nebmaatre) was pressed onto the base, pushing some of the material over the edge of the mold. This excess material was never trimmed, leaving the ragged Scarab Inscribed with the Throne Name of Amenhotep III. ca. 1390–1353 Faience. New Kingdom.
