A finger-post at thestation of Skarpsno (PI. 3) points the way to the steam-ferry toOscarshall (5 0.; from the pier on the other side we ascend to theleft to the chateau in 5 min.). The chief stations of the Steamers from Piperviken are on theE. side of the peninsula: 1. Oscarshall from thispoint we take the path leading past the Fredriksborg Tivoli to(3 min.) a road, follow the latter to the right, and again turn tothe right (1/4 hr.) beyond the Norwegian National Museum. —3. Steamers also ply to the Bygde Sebad (p. 10), on the bankof the Bygde. The road thence to (25-30 min.) Oscarshall passesParaplyen and the Museum. The chateau of *Oscarshall (80 ft.; PI.
