In moist northeast parts of the canary island La Palma still remains some Laurel forest which was very common on the super continent Gondwana some 200 million years ago. Im feuchten Klima der Täler im Nordosten der Kanareninsel La Palma wachsen noch heute Reste des subtropischen Lorbeerwaldes, der vor mehr als 200 Millionen Jahren für den Superkontinent Gondwana typisch war.
