Nineteenth century poet. Died of Cholera in 1849. The bronze bust by Oliver Sheppard was unveiled in 1909 on behalf of the National Literary Society. In a niche in the pedestal is a marble head representing Róisín Dubh, the last work of Willie Pearse.
