Male reproductive system. Artwork of the anatomy of the male reproductive organs and genitals, seen in sagittal section with the penis in an erect state. The internal tissues of the penis are shown, including the corpora cavernosa (pink) and the corpus spongiosum (red), the latter surrounding the urethra. At lower centre is one of the testes, with the spermatic ducts (vas deferens) running from the epididymis on the testis to the prostate gland (yellow, upper centre) and urethra. These structures supply sperm, seminal fluid and other secretions to form the ejaculate during sexual intercourse. Also shown are the bladder, pubic bone, coccyx, and rectum.
