Water melons showed the cheapest retail and wholesale prices in Ukraine in 2015 since 2010 = gryvnia/kilo ().

Ukraine's retail agricultural prices steeply fell this autumn, as solvent demand in the war-torn country is deteriorating. Water melons showed the cheapest retail and wholesale prices this year since 2010, at the level of gryvnia per kilo (). A 5 kg average water melon costs in the capital of Kiev pounds , while London prices oscilate between pounds for the same or smaller fruits. Still many wholesale operators in Kiev find it to be a tougher challenge to sell a lorry of water melons, compared to 2012-2014. Prices are even cheaper in other cities and rural areas, reaching Gryvnia/kg as a wholesale price.
