The season of 1913 opened with class teams on the field. The games wereall played at Lawton park and were usually well attended. The games, as arule, lasted only three quarters as it became dark too early to permit a fullgame to be played. The first game was between the Sophomores and the Freshmen. The 16team took the lead and defeated the 17 team to the tune of 24 to 0. The second game of the series was played by the Juniors and Juniors went down under a storm of line plunges and end runs. Thefinal score was 30 to 6. Bauerle, Kendricks and Hornberger bore the bruntof the battle for the Freshmen, while ORourke and Geller led for the Juniors.
