7th January 2013. Builth Wells, Powys, Wales, UK. A large articulated Coop delivery truck went off the road into a field at about this morning on the A 470 road approximately 3 miles south of Builth Wells. The driver, uninjured, was too shocked and reluctant to give his details. It seems that a car travelling in the opposite direction was driving in the middle of the road and the truck driver took the only evasive action available to him. Credit: Photo credit: Graham M. The other car did not stop. There were no injuries and the ambulance service not required. Police and Coop representatives were soon on the scene. Richard Yorke Ltd Breakdown Services from Newtown, Mid Wales arrived almost immediately with two massive trucks to lift the Coop truck back onto the road. A Coop representative dealing with the emergency said that it was fortunate that the Coop vehicle was half loaded otherwise it would most likely have turned over. A resident of a nearby cottage said that she heard the noise early in the morning. She said that another truck pulled up to help and there was a lot of slamming of doors.
