Marine Corps aircraft rescue and firefighting specialists with Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron and Marine Wing Support Squadron 271, ignite a controlled fire on Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina, Feb. 3, 2021. ARFF Marines conduct these burn drills twice a month to retain their proficiency in fighting fires, and to familiarize the Marines with the vehicles, gear, and rescue equipment needed to safely and efficiently extinguish fuel fires.
