5th FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (Sept. 19, 2017) – Marines with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit walk to a CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter prior to being transported to amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6). The 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit is embarked on the America Amphibious Ready Group and is deployed to maintain regional security in the 5th Fleet area of operations.
