A flintlock pistol, Christoffer Wilhelm Krause, Mitau (Jelgava), Latvia circa 1740. Smooth barrel in 13 mm calibre with silver front sight. The breech bears chiselled rococo ornamentation and "Mitau" inlaid in silver. Chiselled flintlock. The lock plate bears the signature "C:W:K: A:MITAU" in a cartouche. Carved walnut full stock with horn nose cap. Gilded bronze furniture chiselled in relief. Original wooden ramrod with horn tip. Length cm.
