Dennis Velez, commander of Navy Recruiting Command, and Master Chief Navy Counselor Heather Charara, NRC National Chief Recruiter, talk to Navy Talent Acquisition Group New England Sailors during a scheduled command tour. Velez and Charara met New England area recruiters, answered questions and provided feedback on the future of Navy recruiting. NTAG New England's mission is to leverage an inspirational culture to man the Fleet with ready Sailors to allow America's Navy to assure mission success and deliver quality service for Sailors to thrive in a life-changing experience. The command covers over 93,500 square miles encompassing Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Eastern New York. Headquartered in Boston, the command has more than 35 recruiting stations, eight Navy Operation Support Centers, four Military Entrance Processing Stations, and maintains two stations overseas at Kaiserslautern, Germany and Naples, Italy covering the entire territory of Europe, Southwest Asia and the Middle East.
