Automated gene library at Genethon, Paris, showing equipment handling \megaYACs\", vast yeast artificial chromosomes that are used to store large amounts of DNA ( million pairs) in one chunk. The megaYAC is able to store 35 times more DNA than can be held in bacteria such as , the traditional method of cloning DNA. Much use of robots is made at Genethon in speeding up those tedious & repetitive operations of mapping & sequencing the genome."
