Safe storage of raw and cooked meats. Raw meat (such as the chops at left) should not be allowed to touch cooked meats (such as the sausages at right). Raw meat may harbour bacteria that could multiply on cooked meat, and cause food poisoning when eaten. Cooking kills most food bacteria.
