Nick Candy at ONE HYDE PARK the most expensive luxury residential property in the world developed by Nick and Christian Candy.
One Hyde Park, a Richard Rogers-designed group of four 13-storey residential blocks in Knightsbridge, London, is the glitziest, priciest piece of real estate in the world. Nick Candy and his brother Christian, who runs the financial arm of the business from Guernsey, started developing One Hyde Park in 2005, in partnership with a company owned by the prime minister of Qatar. The land, which had been occupied by a brutalist 1950s office block, was bought for £150m; construction costs were £500m; the overall investment close to £1bn.
