Dugald Stewart
Dugald Stewart (1753-1828) was a Scottish philosopher and a professor of mathematics at Edinburgh University in Scotland. He was part of the Englightenment Movement and was responsible for making Scottish philosophy predominant in Europe. A monument in his honor was erected on Carlton Hill in Edinburgh.
