Himeji Castle in Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. Known as the White Egret Castle or White Heron Castle, it is one of the few unreconstructed castles still standing in Japan. It is also the largest castle in the country, designated a National Treasure, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
