NOSTRADAMUS - SIGNATURE The personal signature of Nostradamus, at the termination of his dedication to King Henri II of France, in the second part of his Popheties. One observes that in the signature, the proper name breaks down into the short forms, nsa dma, or 'nostra domina' a reminder that Nostradame, is an ungramatical combination of French and Latin. The name appears to have been adopted at the conversion of the Jewish family to Christianity, in about 1455, when Pierre adopted the name, de Nostredame.
