Anti-reflective coating being applied to camera lenses. The material to be deposited on the lens is evaporated in a vacuum. Here, the spray of coating material particles is seen in blue (lower left). When they reach the lens, the particles adhere to the surface, forming a thin film. This film reduces glare and reflection.
