Copy of the Dawn (Aurora) statue by Michelangelo Buonarroti placed over the main entrance to the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design (Vysoká škola uměleckoprůmyslová) in Staré Město (Old Town) in Prague, Czech Republic. The original statue by Italian Renaissance sculptor dated from 1531-1532 is placed on the tomb of Lorenzo de' Medici in the New Sacristy (Sagrestia Nuova) in the Medici Chapels (Cappelle Medicee) in Florence, Tuscany, Italy. The building of the Academy designed by Czech architects František Schmoranz the Younger and Jan Machytka was built between 1882 and 1885.
