Glasgow, Scotland, Bridges over the River Clyde at night time. The South Portland Street Suspension Bridge is a suspension type foot bridge for pedestrians to cross the River Clyde. Built between 1851 and 1853, it's about 4 metres wide and 127 metres long, replacing the old wooden bridge. It's a nice way to get across the river from the southern end of Glasgow City Centre to the south side Carlton with it's cobbled stone pavement and Georgian terraced houses.
