Pkt., 10c; oz., 30c; l£ lb., 80c; lb., $ Allsa Craig". This is an onion of the Prizetaker type, which like that variety, in order to ob- tain best results, should be started in hotbeds. Grows to an even larger size than the Prize- taker. It is lighter in color, skin almost white. It is very fine grained, with mild flavor. It is now being grown quite exten- sively and profitably by market gardeners. Should have a place in the home garden. Pkt., 10c; os., 30c; % lb., 80c; lb., $ Yellow Plat Danvers. This differs from Yellow Globe Danvers in that the bulb is flatter. Being a heavy yielder, it is largely cultivated both for mar- ket and home use. It is also grown to a considerable extent for sets. Pkt., 10c; oz., 25c; % lb., 60c; lb., $ Red Wethersfield. Most popular of the red flat vari- eties. Grows to a large size and is very productive. Being a good keeper, it is grown largely for shipping and also for onion sets. Color, very dark red. Pkt., 10c; oz., 25c; ^4 lb., 65c; lb., $ Mammoth Silver King. In this onion are combined these desirable qualities: immense size, fine shape, white flesh of wonderful tenderness and sweetness Matures early.
