Members of the 4080th Strategic Reconnaissance Wing and their spouses returned to the base they were assigned to in the early 1960s, on Sept. 22, 2017, when the Air Force’s U-2 Dragon Lady mission was at Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas, during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Each year the number in attendance diminishes, yet many still travel from all over the country to be present.
