The Hemicycle of the Rotonda (also known as the Monument to the Interview of Guayaquil or Monument to Bolívar and San Martín ), is a monument in the city of Guayaquil , Ecuador . It is located on the Malecón 2000 , on the banks of the Guayas River , specifically at the intersection of Avenida Nueve de Octubre and Malecón Simón Bolívar in the urban center of the city. The Rotunda was inaugurated in 1938 .
