I think it’s a great chance for military members who have combat wound injuries to join together and have camaraderie in sports, and to know they still have the ability to perform well. What motivated you to try out for the Air Force Warrior Games team? I was apprehensive last year because I didn’t feel worthy enough to compete in adaptive sports. It took some coaxing from my recovery care coordinator who let me know this is for anybody who’s injured. His advice led me to put in my application for the Warrior Games this year.
