Following the meeting a fine dinner wasserved, especially prepared undei the direc-tion of the hotel management for the occa-sion. The ladies were loud in their praisesof the splendid home cooking, and forthe courtesies extended by the manage-ment. A fine address was made by the vice-president of the Railway Clerks NationalBank of Cincinnati, who spoke in splendidterms of the Baltimore and Ohio manage-ment, particularly in its relation to Chairman J. S. Rhodes, Carmens Committee,Martinsburg, and his sister. Mrs. AJiceCreque, Washington, D. C. The members then returned to theparlors and enjoyed themselves as onlyyoung wives of Veterans can Mrs Sites,of the Cincinnati Terminal Auxiliary,presided at the piano, and soon tootsiepswere pattering in the old fashioned waltz,the Virginia Reel, and other old-time favor-ites. The star performers were Mis VanHorn, of Lima; Mrs. Wolfram, of Dayton,and Mrs. Rethman and Mrs. Richter, ofCincinnati. Plans already are in hand for repeatingsuch a birthday party next year. Thisbaby Auxiliary meets on the secondTuesday afternoon of each month. Astanding invitation awaits every member ofthe Auxiliary or of the Veterans Associa-tion on the System who may be visiting 01passing through Cincinnati, to attendthese meetings.
