Warley Moor Reservoir (also known as Fly Flatts Reservoir) was competed in 1872 on the moors north of Halifax, West Yorkshire. The reservoir has an area of 28 hectares, is 14 metres (45 feet) deep and holds 880, litres (193,000,000 imperial gallons) of water. The reservoir, at an altitude of 410 metres (1345 feet) is the home of Halifax Sailing Club, the highest sailing club in England. Originally built by the Halifax Corporation, the reservoir is now owned by Yorkshire Water. A late summer sunset view, from Cold Edge Road, across the reservoir with sailing dinghies on the water.
